Example of Women Entrepreneur

Puan Rasmuna binti Hamzah is the sole owner of TNR Management Services. Running business in Bandar Seri Botani Ipoh Perak, the mother of four daughters share some tips of her success.

Q: What is the name of your company and services provided?

A: TNR Management Services and we are a company secretary that take care of our client`s company documentation since the company incorporated. TNR also provide other services such as accounting, taxation, GST and auditing (under license).

Q: How many years have you been in this industry?

A:  It had been 21 years since I first entered this industry but TNR was only incorporated 8 years ago.

Q: What is your marketing strategy?

A: We focused on our networking. We know lots of people and market ourselves to our associates. Some of our clients are the associate of our associate and our services travel from mouth to mouth. We also give out pamphlets with our contact details to convenience stores.

Q: What is your experience of handling your employees and company?

A: I started business since 1997 with one of my associate in a partnership under RRH Management Services. Firstly, I have only one employee but then it gradually increases. All of my employees before and now are Muslims so they have to perform their prayer and cover their ̒aurat'. We also have students interning in TNR. Sometimes there’s up to 5 students interning at the same time.

Q: How did you deal with your clients?

A: Firstly you have to know your client because clients are ego, some are honest and some of them have zero knowledge about legal company needs. If it is highly educated client you can go straight to discuss the legal issues but if the client is not highly educated, you have to tell them the issues up to their level. Dealing with ego client is quite tricky because you have to listen and follow their way of doing your job.

Q: Do you have any tips to work under pressure?

A: Relax. Sleep early and get a good night rest. Don’t sigh and stressed over stress but find out the reason of your stress whether it is problem from work, personal problem or family problem. Solve your problem first then you can continue working. Usually when we are working in a field we like, we rarely get stress because of work. If you are stressed out in workplace because of your coworker or employees or employer, find out why and what is the problem. Solve your problem then the stresses are gone.

Q: Any advice to young people if they want to be successful?

A: Ask questions, work hard and be discipline, don’t run away from your responsibility and cut off from work. Reach out and take whatever opportunity   the company gave out to gain experience even though it is not your field of work. Help your friends from other department and other field so that we can gain more knowledge and experience.
